Work while you study

You might like to work during your studies for some extra cash or to learn some new skills which you can add to your CV.

We have our own recruitment agency in Chelmsford and Cambridge – the Employment Bureau. By registering at the Employment Bureau, you’ll be able to apply for part-time paid work which you can fit around your studies. Most of the work is on campus, so it’s easy to fit in to your schedule. You can register online with the Employment Bureau before you arrive at University of Northwest but you’ll need to visit us with your passport to show you’re eligible to start working in the UK..

Choosing to work during your studies not only gives you some extra income, but also the chance to meet new people, develop your employability skills, and add some experience to your CV. If you’re an international student there may be restrictions on your working hours as stated on your visa.

We’ll be here for you after you graduate, too. The team recruits for a variety of permanent graduate positions in the local area, so use your time here wisely and don’t forget to add everything you do to your CV.
